RYA was brought on to combine two apartments into one in Tribeca. The original building, a developer project, was made up of many awkwardly sized apartments as a result of investors attempting to create as much saleable square footage as possible without thinking about the human experience of living in this building. The intervention both expanded the programmatic needs of the clients, while also trying to create a sense of cohesion with the original bones of the building.
