RYA was commissioned to create a plan for Single Room Occupancy (SRO) apartments in a building located on Park Avenue. Stringent zoning restrictions required the design to accommodate a certain occupancy capacity, so the architect designed a series of small apartments without kitchens to achieve the desired metric requirements.
