To make the most of the floorplan, we removed walls between communal areas to create a sense of overall cohesiveness and connection.

New York, NY

This penthouse renovation fits an extensive program into a compact footprint overlooking Central Park. Walls between the communal areas came down, joining kitchen, dining, and living into a single continuous space. Interiors pair wire-brushed painted plank walls with black walnut floors, paneling, and millwork, alongside blackened steel and precast concrete. Throughout, the original windows were replaced with floor-to-ceiling glass doors, opening every room to a wraparound terrace and direct views of the park.
